Alien in Wonderland
Somewhere in someplace like New Mexico a UFO crashes in a
field of dry wheat.
An alien orb juts out of the clouds; a neon eye zooming in
blinking seconds, darting from the slated slanted sky. The circle continues to float in an invisible
vertical line through the pink and yellow way the sky has faded from the
day. And suddenly the globe flashes out,
into the night, gone. A signal!
Dark. The stars blink; match the eye of the machine. One red
dot one green, flashing beams. The animator inside the craft shields spindly
fingers over its oblong face. A metal staircase spits from the mouth of the space-engine.
A farmer up the hill pushing a wheelbarrow of corn watches
the creature shamble from its shelter. He
sees the creature salute one grayish hand to protect its large pupils; its eyes
two dark cutouts like microphone speakers. The farmer races back to his barn and
calls authorities on a knotty-corded cream-colored kitchen phone.
Thirty seconds or less, the creature could not get used to
the desert of fresh oxygen and collapsed at the foot of its machine. When the
ambulance and police arrived there was a stretcher supplied. And the creature was shoved into the back of
the truck without any words exchanged, but hushes. The farmer waved his straw hat to the
creature and sent a prayer that those men in uniform would keep the creature he
just saved safe.
Somewhere in someplace like a governmental asylum there is
an Alien waiting to be probed, waiting, and possibly dreaming.
Abduction of an Alien
by Leila Montgomery
Yesterday, local farmer Jeffery
Jones spotted an aircraft crash while wheeling home fresh corn from the patches
down the path from his home.
Jones told the Twist times that he
saw a tall gray creature emerge from the aircraft and faint only seconds later.
Jones did the proper thing and ran home to phone the
police.
Why the airship landed in the first
place we have no source to say. Also
unknown is the location of the unknown creature’s body and the condition it may be
in.
Authorities failed to answer any
questions, declining to leave comment, only to say they will “take care of the
situation” and that the creature is in “safe keeping.” Jones states, “That’s all I cared to know.”
The question remains whether
“taking care of the situation,” means scraping for specimens, and locking the
creature away.
When asked Jones shared, “The
government knows something!”
Without any further information, it
is likely that the case will be terminated by next week. If the creature does survive, and if it is
released, it will most likely be left with nothing better than an amnesia brain
after a coma.

*This is a fictional twist on a real issue that I first saw
while watching an episode of Unsolved
Mysteries. And even though there is debate as to whether or not the aliens are real, the incidents I believe are. And from where I stand, I believe in aliens.
